Kirk Lenhardt literally grew up in a tire shop. As a boy, his first job was cleaning bathrooms at his dad’s store in Cheyenne. In 2004, Kirk and his wife Tracy founded Fat Boys and the family business has now grown to five locations in southeastern Wyoming and western Nebraska. Kirk and Tracy have been married for 37 years and have two children and four grandchildren. Fun Fact: Kirk is a bigfoot enthusiast who is convinced that Sasquatch is hiding somewhere in the mountains of western Wyoming.
Brian is the third generation in the family tire business. Like his dad, Brian’s first job was cleaning bathrooms. He now has 17 years of experience in the industry and oversees our corporate, national, and government accounts while managing our outside sales team. He and his wife Merissa have four children. Fun fact: In 2020, Brian led the Cheyenne Adult Hockey League in penalty minutes.
Tony has been part of the Fat Boys family for 42 years. He moved to Laramie in the 4th grade and never left. After high school, he went to work for A-Z Tire Co. and never left. He’s managed our Laramie store for longer than anyone can remember (we think it’s about 30 years). Tony’s son Johordan also works at Fat Boys and his daughter recently graduated from the University of Wyoming. Tony enjoys fishing, hunting, travel, and camping in the Snowy Range Mountains. Fun fact: Tony and his wife Lisa also have two foster children.
Mike has been part of the Fat Boys family for over 35 years. For the past 15 years, he has managed our retail shop on Lincolnway in Cheyenne. Mike is a dog lover and supports local animal adoption and rescue charities. In his free time, he enjoys bowling and camping. Fun fact: Mike is a member of the Wyoming Bowling Hall of Fame, the Cheyenne Bowling Hall of Fame, and the Cheyenne Post 6 Baseball Hall of Fame.
Mike has been a Fat Boy for 23 years. Born and raised in Wheatland, he worked at Lloyd’s Welding for several years before joining his big brother “Pork” at Fat Boys. After “Pork” passed away in 2017, Mike took over operations for our two shops in Wheatland. Fun fact: The Hohnholt family has supported youth sports in Wheatland for decades. Following his death, the City of Wheatland officially renamed the Little League baseball field Mark “Pork” Hohnholt Memorial Park.
Todd has been part of the Fat Boys team for over 15 years. He started as a Warehouse Manager, then worked as the Assistant Manager in our Laramie shop before taking over Distribution for all of our stores. Todd is a Cheyenne native and enjoys riding ATVs and snowmobiles. He and his wife have four children and seven grandkids. Fun fact: Before he became a Fat Boy, Todd was a restaurant manager.
Shawn joined our team in 2018 after spending 17 years across the street at Reganis Auto Center. Shawn was born and raised in Scottsbluff. He inherited his love for cars from his father Terry, who has owned and operated a local machine shop for several decades. Shawn and his wife have been married for 17 years and have three children. When he’s not at work, Shawn enjoys fishing and hunting. Fun Fact: Shawn was a standout football player and wrestler in high school.
